Welcome to our Wyoming blog. On this blog I have been sharing how we came to move here and the 'adventure' we have been on every since. We started with a hillside, and today (6 years later) are finally putting in some landscaping. We are by no means done. I hope you will come along on our adventure.

I also have 2 other blogs. Big Horn Mountain Creations show cases my quilting and other artistic adventures. Decorating my Tin Shack, is about creating a home thru decorating. Both are on the side bar, I hope you will stop by.

OH RATS

Well, I got so wrapped up in making my yogurt that I forgot to take pictures. I tell you some days...............it was my plan to share this with you all.

I have a cheese making kit coming, this is my next learning experience. I will share with you the process (if I don't forget!).

I have taken up the study of herbs again and I will be sharing some of the things I learn there as well. Heck, I have so many plans I think I am wearing myself out. Sigh. LOL.

That is it for today, thanks for stopping by and for sharing your ideas with me.

God Bless!

Raw Milk

Several have asked where they can get raw milk. Here is a link for the Weston Price Foundations page on some raw milk producers. This list is no a complete list because as they say, some producers did not want to be listed for fear........well you can read it for yourself.

It is SUMMER all over the place!!!

Yep, summer has finally made it to our little corner of the world. There are many signs of summer other then the temps.

Rusty has taken to cow pie baths.
Rusty has taken to oil under the bus baths.
Rusty has taken to rolling on bugs and there are alot more to roll on.
Rusty, Lady and Me Moew are shedding buckets of hair.....they are ban from the house.
The rabbits have decided I don't need my veggies.
The AC units are in the windows and running.
The water in the creeks are high (for now) and the mosquitoes are huge and hungry.
There are alot of very white legs in town.
The crickets have taken over, with a close second of scorpions and spiders.
The hills are no longer green, but brown from lack of rain.
Instead of staying indoors because it is to cold, now it is to hot to be outside, which equates to quilting time.
The BQ is getting used alot and we are eating lots of salads.

Enjoy your summer, God Bless
Until later

Spring? Winter? Spring???????

One never knows from day to day if it is spring or winter this time of year. Yesterday and today appear to be spring, but Thursday we had 12 hours of rain and snow.

It is rather frustrating when work is planned and you can't do any of it unless the ground is dry, and once the ground drys enough to work and receive deliveries, it rains......sigh, very loud sigh.
We are wanting to build the greenhouse so you can imagine how impatient I am, especially when it rains or snows and the work is put on hold once again, this has been going on for a month now.

I have managed to get some plants out in the wine barrels in the new garden, they are being protected by Wall O Water right now, which will help the green beans and squash survive down to 16 degrees. Next will be to protect them from the deer, but for now they should be fine. Got the seedlings that are still inside planted up yesterday, they are so little. They take up about half of the table.

Rusty decided he wanted to play in the dirt last night, he tore into my two new bags of potting soil. To say I was not happy is an understatement, but then I am not surprised he did it. Not a bad dog, just a puppy who though it would be fun and I am very sure he enjoyed every moment but he also knew he had done a bad thing.

Lady has had enough of the rain and snow and mud it creates, poor old girl was muddy everywhere (she is a black lab), though she did enjoy the brushing she got to the fullest.

All the trees and grasses are greening nicely all around us, we are hoping to get a well put in this year, then I can start a real landscape, WAHOO!..

If you'd like to see what I have been up to in the quilting and crazy quilting area of my life please pop over to my other blog, also check out the new additions to my Etsy shop.

Have a happy day, Until later.

A tree?

I thought I would share these pictures
with my blog readers. We were not
going to decorate, because we are going out
of town for Christmas. Our friend found
out about it and decided I needed a
tree, so this morning they went to get
theirs and brought one for us, too.

So, I did decorate after all and here is
the result. It was fun to do and I am
glad for it as I have been rather
humbug.
Since our move all of our things have been packed away, and
the ornaments are still MIA, so I used what I could find.

I also fixed up the top of my display case, and added a few items
inside.

I like snow people and this is
a little display of them, over
my computer.

And over the top of the
cabinets, lights and
garland.

Tomorrow we will put up
the lights outside.

It feels alot more like Christmas.

Thank you for sharing my day of decorating.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
