Oh do I have spring fever, I want everything to be full and beautiful...but alas though I have started a "garden" it is quite sad. LOL. I do have things coming up, just impatient. Here are the straw bales I was telling you about, the potatoes are planted and are growing just have not made it above the dirt (yes, I dug down to see). I had to put wire over the frames, not to keep the deer out but to keep Rusty from unplanting the potatoes.
The lilacs about town are nothing short of amazing, there must be 200 lilac bushes and all are heavily laden with beautiful, sweet smelling blooms. These are old bushes, alot of them are at least 12 to 15 feet tall and as wide. It is my understanding that this is the first year in about 10 that the blooms have not been frozen off. All the fruit trees are in bloom, too. Needless to say, it is beautiful...all the green and flowers.....except on my hill. I am impatient for sure, but this will all take time...as we need a well before I can get to crazy with flowers and such.

My sister bought a few packages of wildflower seeds and threw them out on her hill. They didn't get eaten by the birds, and she had such a beautiful spring display!
The straw bales look interesting. Now are the potatoes going to grow down in the straw?
